Fabulous system
I've been using TeamUp for 7 years now and I continue to be very happy with it. I recommend it all the time as I feel it is not only excellent software but also a really great company and team to work with.
Avantages
The customer service is the stand-out feature of this software. It has loads of great functionality and does all the things I need it to, to be able to run my independent yoga business. But the customer service is really the most impressive thing. When Covid-19 hit they had a guide produced for their software users immediately, with information about support for fitness businesses and how to use the system to adapt. They then produced new features and integrations within a week, which has meant I have been able to pivot my business to being online very easily.
Inconvénients
I find the system really adaptable and I there isn't anything I have needed that I haven't been able to do. I would like to see a bit more development around the Courses feature as I am using this more and it doesn't have quite the same level of functionality as Classes, but it's a minor issue.

Team Up is THE best Booking App
It's been fantastic and really reliable. Trustworthy, fast, easy to use - the members love it and the support is always there. I need to delve into the functionality some more- because I think/ know it can do more!
Avantages
That the cost is per person whilst you are growing and then a reasobable set price thereafter. The functions are also amazing- so many.... Booking, memberships, mailing lists. The support is also REALLY quick and easy to understand.
Inconvénients
I don't like spead it opens on my phone- I want it quicker! But that's probably my phone and nothing to do with the app!

Team Up - Fantastic!!
Great, made setting up our business so much easier having this platform for our customers and staff.
Avantages
It is a really easy platform to use for both staff and business but also the customers themselves. My customers can struggle with apps and tech but all find this really simple and easy to use and get used to. Would not use any other app.
Inconvénients
Can not think of any negatives that jump out at me about Team Up. Every issue we have seen has been resolved when talking on their 24hr chat service.

They are quick to respond and fix any issues. They are constantly updating their system and adding new features and I have never had an issue with student sign ups or anything.

All of the features and the pricing structure.

I would like if there was a feature added that allowed a class to auto cancel some time period before the class if there are no sign ups.

An essential for businesses working across time zones
TeamUp has facilitated the overall process of hosting international client calls both within my own business and with the contract work I do with external organizations. In all business collaborations I've done with other coaching businesses, all of them have also relied on TeamUp as their event calendar tool!
Avantages
I love the ability to easily share an event calendar and then add it to your own personal calendar. The automatic conversion to your time zone has saved me many hours of confusion with mistakes regarding the set hour for international calls.
Inconvénients
You have to be careful how you share an event link. Sharing it in the wrong format could lead to a participant not seeing the event in their local time.

Teamup ist eine gut durchdachte Software. Durch das Webinterface ist sie für Nutzer jederzeit verfügbar. Auch die Administration erfordert nur wenig Zeitaufwand während des Tagesgeschäfts.

Die permanente Verfügbarkeit der Kalender über den Browser und die einfache Administration.
Inconvénients
Bei der Darstellung mehrere Kalender auf einem Smartphone verliert man schnell den Überblick. Hier wäre ein anderes Layout wünschenswert.

Great customer service
Really positive experience, it was easy to transition my business over to Team Up and being able to set up memberships has reduced my admin time too

Used to be ok for the money you pay
As always promised the world and under delivered hard. Migration process was super bumpy and a lot went wrong. Promised to keep pricing stable and increased by 20% after one year to be increased further. Constant excuses for mistakes and glitches. Lots of glitches.

It was inexpensive but they constantly make useless updates, their app is soooooo bad

No app for teachers! Custom app lacks basic functionsIncrease rates and prices without notifying you. So you have to check; it gets justified with new features which are just bug fixes really. NO support on weekends! Team is very slow to respond to issues

Excellent product with several MAJOR flaws
I find the team is obviously not end users who can't find the value in implementing the difference between "schedule" as a verb and "calendar" as a noun. As in "let's go look at the CALENDAR". and "let's SCHEDULE your lesson."
Avantages
I use it because I needed something that was affordable for a small team. For the price I get my needs meet, while I have to ignore several MAJOR stumbling blocks to managing my schedule and incoming payments.

There are several things that I would change IMMEDIATELY but they seem not to be a priority so the TEAMUP team. Go figure... apparently they are not end users.When a client "purchases" a package they DON'T purchase anything. They agree to purchase/pay in the future. But the system allows them to proceed as if they have paid and purchased in real time. Later when you go back and reconcile your books you realize that lots of people hit "purchase" online but never pay.... and when they look at their account they have a full package that they PURCHASED!!! When in reality they have nothing.This is a stupid word to use as it implies a transaction of money... which actually never happens. The worst part is going back and trying to convince your clients that they owe you for something they already "purchased" and used in the past. RESERVE A PACKAGE implies a future payment. PURCHASE implies they paid.Also there NEEDS to be a option where as and ADMIN I can schedule a client that has not purchased or paid... because I AM THE OWNER/ADMIN?RECEPTIONIST/TEACHER and sometimes I schedule people over the phone that will pay when they arrive. If I assign them (again ... "purchase") a lesson package they have not paid for I then have triple duty later on to straighten the account when they actually decide to pay for a different package... or they never pay because their account says they ALREADY PURCHASED itScheduling & changing repeating classes is a pain & not intuitive

billing, accounting to simple, we canned information on a bill or with complete method and not so visible after all on the bill, accounting could be easier if w could download all information (table, graph, rsesume in 1 pdf and/or 1 excel/calc/numer file. the store which is to simple and the method is so long to add an order, could improve it like and restaurant app with only 1 big screen ... At this time we pay an other software for that (difference VAT for different product and billing modification, and simplicity= time winned so more time with client so better service)It could be awesome if caisseenregistreuse.fr could be synchro with teamup. appointments add-on : i tested it and not satisfy, pt reservation, and evolution/modification of the schedule is complicate and too long to fix it. Why not like the principal schedule mode?

Would not use any other booking system.
Freed up so much admin time, tons of automation, personal notifications and our clients find it easy to use. We are really happy with it. A great system run by really lovely people.

As a studio owner of 25 years and seen staggering changes in how we run our business in all that time I am delighted to be leaving this review. Having been with Mindbody and got thoroughly fed up with constant price hikes I looked around for an alternative. We moved to Teamup in 2016 and have been with them since. The easiest switch from Mindbody to them - mainly because they have done it so often, it was seamless. Most of all its the team behind Teamup that makes this an easy decision. They have the same values of looking after their clients as we do. You don't run a studio and retain clients for years as we have managed for this long without a lot of input into client retention. Lots of great flexibility and easy to use.
Inconvénients
There are always things that can be improved and we have the chance to comment on a wish list that others can see too and if's its a good idea or a great improvement, they make it happen.

Solid, all round platform that makes up in functionality what it lacks in gloss
Overall, I credit the overall success of my business model to the flexibility of TeamUp. Being able to set up the class passes, including the First Class Free, and having different pricing models for the various classes, courses, and subscriptions has been great. My clients are mostly all over 60 years old, and the fact that 95% of them find using the online registration easy...is amazing!
Avantages
I love that it was able to handle both Class Passes, and courses, and monthly subscriptions. For the Class Passes, I hold the same class in different locations throughout the week, and my clients are able to attend any one. My business you would have thought was super-simple, as I'm just one instructor, but it's suprising how many 'exceptions' to my standard classes I've had to accommodate as part of my business, and mostly TeamUp has been flexible enough for me to figure out a way to set it up. For example, my First Class Free policy, that I was able to create a special single-use pass for. Something as simple as a Class Pass can be surprisingly complicated when you think about all the options....but teamUp handles pretty much everything I've needed.
Inconvénients
The reports are pretty useless for revenue forecasting or for much real customer management. It's not possible to email a list of 'people who have ever attended my Friday class' for instance - important for when I have to cancel at the last minute, and I know that not everyone who will turn up has actually registered. Also i would love a report showing how many class passes were outstanding, so I could anticipate when people would need to be renewing. From the courses, the one feature that I've found difficult to implement is for my dance classes, where there could be a couple, or an individual. TeamUp expects one person = one admission = one price, so handling couples or multiple registrations under a single name is not possible without some creativity!

I really love that they have a small company feel to them that I hope always remains. Voting with my feet for something that didn’t feel like a rip off big management company who would ultimately stab their studios in the back (naming no names here!) was really important to our small family run business and the way the customer service was ON it was mind blowing. Really personal service and hope it stays that way

I don’t like the ‘custom’ section for time periods - sometimes I quickly like to scroll back 18 months to see what was happening and it only automatically sends you back to only 12 months.I was unhappy with the ‘at a glance’ graphs/pie charts of cash flow etc but now that’s been amended with enhanced features

Great software for your gym or martial arts school
Teamup has been one of the best decisions we’ve made and has made the friction of setting people up minimal. It has gained us lots of students and we can’t praise it enough.The team is also quick to respond to any questions.
Avantages
It’s very easy to use, it has almost any feature and set up you can think of and it’s quick to use and flexible to fix when you add a new class or change an old one.The payments are easy too, to collect and set up how you want them. The memberships are easy to use and events are a cinch to set up and charge for.
Inconvénients
Not many, only the lack of a grading system for martial arts classes, and the check ins could be nicer and easier a bit.

Avantages
This product is so easy to use. it is almost a "plug in" and use piece of software. Having said that, because of it's vast functionality (which is brilliant) it can get a bit confusing sometimes if you forget your way around the software. I do find myself going round in circles, but I get there in the end.
It does everything I need it to and more. I do feel like I only use 30% of the software's capability.
Every time I have needed assistance, it is easy to reach out to someone who can guide me through my problem. This is so important as the software is so vast, I sometimes need help making the most of the functions.
Inconvénients
As I am a small business the cost is what causes me most pain. I have 15-30 active users, and feel that the entry level price of £49 is a lot for me, considering that my business is at the size where I only really need to use 50% of the whole functionality.
If there was a smaller fee, which allowed a more basic functionality, perhaps at a lower scale of what is currently offered, I would be super happy.
Ideally for me, as a sole trader, with no employees, I do not need the functionality for multiple teachers and embers of staff.

Does what it says, and always improving
I don't think about TeamUp very often, because it just works. This is exactly what I want from our booking software.
Avantages
TeamUp makes your life easier, by making all tasks a bit simpler. I especially like the easy engagement from staff who are clearly trying to make the software better and working hard to listen to customers. There have been multiple upgrades in our first year of using the software.
Inconvénients
The native app just isn't good enough and it's much easier to direct customers to use the website, even on their phones. This is the major thing holding TeamUp back right now.

Saves Time, Money and Stress!
Incredibly good - the support is amazing with progressive development, working in tandem with their clients.
It looks good and when you know which features you want to use, it is straight forward.
Avantages
Using TeamUp removes the emotion and stress of having to chase clients for payment, not to mention the time required to do so.
It means my relationship with the client is maintained, less time on admin, less financial accounting (I only account 3 x per year now instead of every month)
I can spend more time do what I love - teaching and growing my business.
Also, last-minute cancellations are paid for without any questions!
I can keep all client notes for the classes in one place, so any other teachers covering can easily track any issues they need to contend with in class.
Being able to take registers in class saves time and costs.
TeamUp are continuously developing and working with their client's needs, I'm always impressed by this.
The customer service is 2nd to none.
Inconvénients
It's not so easy for clients to sign their selves up if there are multiple classes and memberships to choose from, but this may be the generation of clients I deal with! Plus the pro-rata amount that automatically bills if they do set their selves up doesn't fit into my payment model. So, I still tend to this.
TeamUp fits into 80% of my business model amazingly well and has made me change the way I work for the better. The 20% that doesn't fit in has to be worked on manually still.
It would be ideal if the reporting would show 121 clients that they are being billed for classes that fell on xxx date so they can account for it.
The Direct debit model fits in perfectly for business running continuously, I run for 12-14 week blocks, across 35-38 weeks of the year, which means clients who leave have to be balanced with a small amount outstanding either way.
I'd love to use the class swap feature but it's not configurable for my 12-14 week blocks.
When booking themselves into summer 'flexy classes', it would be ideal if they can add multiple classes to a 'basket' and then pay at the end.
None of these points are about 'not liking the software' But points that would make it even better for my business.

TeamUp does our admin whilst we run the business
Excellent. The system reduces our admin time to less than half an hour a day. The dashboard makes it easy to identify new customers, payments going through and any issues such as failed payments too. Everything else is automated, with customers also able to buy or upgrade additional memberships too.
Avantages
TeamUp is a great membership system. It is easy to set up, update and is fully automated with secure card and DD payments within the system (transactions are up front with no invoices/payments to chase). Other useful features such as trigger emails automatically welcome customers, remind them of bookings, tell customers how to get to my business. There are also great billing features that allow you to freeze memberships, automatically skip payments and take ad hoc payments too. We have tried other systems that promise much, however, have recently moved back to TeamUp as for membership management it is hard to beat..
Inconvénients
There are no cons to using this system. Yes, there would be some nice to have additional features, however, it does the key activities REALLY well.

Our old system had features not offered by TeamUp which is why we moved - it offered customers performance tracking and some other nifty customer features. However, the business management experience was very manual and time consuming. The main reason we came back to TeamUp was that the old system's payment methods were not embedded in the application which meant that invoices and DD mandates were emailed to the customer to complete. This resulted in emails going into junk/spam folders with a lot of admin time required to chase up payments. The system is fully automated, with great trigger options for customer communications. It has a fantastic dashboard which allows you to assess money and customer activity for the day in less than 2 mins. Really good. Really pleased I moved over from Virtuagym. The customer service is exceptional and the price is really competitive too for a great product.

It’s just really easy to use and intuitive. It feels like it has been designed by a fitness professional who actually uses it
Inconvénients
Nothing yet. It would be nice if I could have a separate calendar for staff to add their availability for the month ahead so I could know who is free to work which session and then allocate them

Best by a mile!
Team Up has given me back a lot of time each week simply because it works so well and I am no longer having to wrangle and figure out what is going wrong and try to rectify mistakes that occur with other apps. My members love it and I love it. Support is far superior to any other app I have used and everyone is friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they understand what you need and can easily guide you on the rare occasion you might get a little stuck with something.
Avantages
The fact that it does what it says it does, and does it properly and easily without glitches and things going wrong. The fact it can deal with memberships properly and actually ensure usage by members is as it should be, something that other apps (the other 4 I have used) do not do.

It would be nice if you could email members directly from the system to get in touch with updates etc.

Our experience using TeamUp has been very positive. The features make running a Pilates studio so much easier. The Customer service team are so helpful and responsive.

TeamUp is great. It allows us to manage class bookings, take payments, create memberships, and even manage staff, all in one place. The On demand feature is also a great added bonus and allows us to great online membership as well as studio memberships.
Inconvénients
There’s not much I don’t like about TeamUp. I think it would be useful to allow customers to book all of there classes in one go by ticking a box. We allow our customers to book 90 days in advance so it can be quite frustrating for members to go in and out booking one class at a time

Excellent software
The experience with Teamup has been very good, we couldn't live without it now. I estimate it saves me at least 10 hours a week in admin, and it streamlines our financial management.
Avantages
Saves me so much admin time dealing with class bookings. The implementation was very easy too and well supported throughout. You can see the creators of Teamup have experience in running this type of business as the software has all the features I need as a business owner to both streamline my admin and manage the business financially.
Inconvénients
Nothing major I can think of. The integration with mailchimp is a little clunky and I know some customers have found the trial session widget a bit difficult to use.

The customer service is fantastic and generally very quick. They were really helpful when I was moving from another platform and are still really helpful with any problems I might have. It is really simple to use. I can put clients on a register very easily and create ongoing reservations

TeamUp has been a game changer for our business. We moved over from mindbody due to issues with family accounts and youth students. Once we made the change our issues with inaccurate rosters, and families being confused by the sign up process went immediately away. The user interface and experience is exceptionally easy and we haven’t had any issue the way we did with mindbody

I’d like this software to have more functionality with courses, id like it to be able to track other options like “trial classes” and “makeups” where we could easily add students into the roster in one of these categories, even if we don’t have them in an associated grouping.
Also I’d like more automation with a true enrollment model and not have to manually control the software and flow. Right now the system prorates off of a calendar month and we have to manually put auto pay students into classes session after session.
Also if like a better way to track if people don’t have a waiver so the admins can see easier. You only see this if you go into the profile or try to sign then you. It would be nice if people without waivers were flagged in red.
Finally integrating with a waiver software system like smart waiver would be awesome! That way we could have real documents with actual signatures associated with clients in their profile.

Mindbody did not work for our needs at all. The enrollment consumer side of mindbody was absolutely awful and our rosters were always messed up with parents info instead of youth students. Families had no clue how to add family members. This made a logistical nightmare with dealing with family accounts. Brilliant, I have always found the help desk to be on point, and clear in explaining a solution.
Avantages
Love the integration of the many different elements of the customer journey (class booking, membership payments etc) , which are traceable by studio location, and class type. The ability to easily drill down vertically by category, and to make quick and easy changes. Genuinely couldnt run my business without it.
Inconvénients
That customers can create multiple accounts (their identity on the system is not unique) and thereby reappear numerous times to use Introduction offers or deals, or referral credits. And that the only way to check is manually! Probably the biggest weakness.

The team are constantly looking to the future to update processes and keep things current and fresh. The Help Desk is amazing and I have complete confidence is using this platform as part of running my business to look professional and have things run smoothly.
Avantages
Simple and effective with many integration options. If you're not sure of the process, help is at hand with easy to follow step by step guides with videos too and the help desk response if quick and they always ensure follow through until the matter is solved. It has saved me untold hours of administration.
Inconvénients
It would be great to incorporate different currencies so that when you have clients around the world it would automatically adapt the pricing according to their country logon/currency.

Exceptional. Reliable system that has never let us down. Constant development and improvements supported by a great customer service team.
Avantages
Initially the softwares ease of use is one of its main benefits, not inly for us as a company but for the client also. This is supported by the use of a mobile app which most of our clients use to make class bookings. Secondly though, is that the software is always improving and the team not only offer fantastic customer services and support with issues but welcome ideas too.
Inconvénients
For us it would be the ability to message people through the app with class updates etc. You can get email lists quickly but email is becoming dated and we instead rely on whats app - if there was a way to improve this through the app it would be very useful.

Would be lost without Team Up
Having the customer service guys there helps me so much. Any question I have had is answered fast. Team up plays a huge part in my business ensuring I am all up to date with finances, members and protocols.

before I was using Team up I had excel and it was horrible. I had no overview and classes got overbooked and payments where forgot. Here is see everything very clearly and the booking for my students via app is super easy! Highly recommended

I have mentioned a few features in the previous section that would be useful to have access to. In addition, having the "add family member" button in a more prominent position when creating accounts at the start would make creating accounts for multiple people run a little smoother.

I like how user friendly this product is and the dashboard is really great for a snap shot of the studio. I work on Team Up daily.

We use this on a daily basis in 7 locations to schedule our patients, schedule our drivers' routes, and track the foot traffic into our stores.
Inconvénients
Only able to have 8 calendars. We have been able to make it work but we would have liked 10-12 caledars available to view on one screen.

I honestly cannot recommend TeamUp enough. I recommend the system to anyone I think it could help. It’s helped reduce my paper work by so many hours it’s amazing. I also find the staff easily contactable and very friendly. They went above and beyond over the lockdown periods to sync up with online classes. Love TeamUp!!

Using TeamUp had changed my work life! Paying instructors has become so easy because I can see how many hours each instructor has worked and can cross reference invoices easily. It has also made my end of year returns so easy with the reports section.

I can’t think of anything BUT everytime I have thought of something TeamUp have been easily contactable and have either resolved it for me or have considered changing the system in the future

Worth the money, easy to use and such a time-saver!
I absolutely wanted a system which would eliminate all the paperwork and provide a secure service for my clients to book in. Easy to use and customisable, Team Up means my business looks professional from the start of the client journey. I am starting to make far more use of the reports features, tracking the growth of my business as I add more products.
Avantages
The ability to have a waitlist. As my classes are small a waitlist is an essential feature. The cancellation policies are clear, maximising my attendances.

Some features feel clunky although a much smoother experience with recent developments

Great software for martial arts clubs!
TeamUp has abled me to scale my business month after month throughout 2022. Without TeamUp, I'd be swamped in admin! But now I can get people signed up, have them fill their waivers, and booked onto a class within a couple of minutes. That would have been something I'd have physically had to do myself beforehand with pen and paper. As a self employed person, saving this amount of time is incredibly important to giving me some kind of work life balance.
Avantages
I like how easy it is to use. It is also very customisable, which is important for me. I can set up memberships extremely quickly and the dashboard means I can keep an eye on my memberships all in a glance.
Inconvénients
How there isn't an app developed yet for the administrator to use. I'd like to be able to manage TeamUp without using a browser. It'd just make things easier.I'm not 100% sure if I've just not seen an app. So, if it's there, apologies. I've just not found it.

A customer can't bring a guest without having creating a new customer account for their guest. Been told many time this is frustrating for customers. Desktop is better than the app. the app often gets suck when doing anything with dates, adding / changing times. Customer service response times has slowed down, but when there is a response the help is always excellent

The best I've used hands down. Absolutely love it.
Avantages
It is a great balance of having plenty of features without being overly complicated or "too much." This is the fastest I've been able to set up member management. It was so easy. Also very important to me is how easy my members say it is to use. They seem to have no trouble booking classes and managing their accounts!
Inconvénients
The feature I really really need is the ability to set up a private class that is free to the individual members, without them having to purchase a $0 membership first. The way TeamUp is set up to do private classes (ones that don't show up on the calendar, only available via direct link), forces the person to purchase a $0 membership first THEN sign up for the class. The 2-step process is convoluted and a little confusing.
